You can still be pregnant for weeks and be up to 4-5 cm dilated or you can be closed, long and thick and go into labor ...I was 2cm dilated and my cervix was short and thinned but im unsure of how effaced. This was at 33 weeks. I'm now 39+2weeks and still pregnant! Although today got a stretch and sweep and I'm now 4-5cm and 75% effaced. So basically, you could be pregnant for awhile longer even if you're dilated at 2cm.
